On January 28th, UCBM and Cyber 4.0 officially inaugurated their joint cybersecurity laboratory, a state-of-the-art facility designed to advance research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity. This laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge tools that enable comprehensive studies on digital security threats and their impact.

A key feature of the laboratory is the presence of advanced testbeds, including water system simulations and other infrastructures that replicate industrial environments. These tools allow researchers to analyze the cascading effects of cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, providing invaluable insights into threat mitigation and response strategies.

During the event, the latest projects conducted within the laboratory were showcased. The first project, PACY, focuses on developing a specialized platform for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This platform offers SMEs essential tools and guidance to effectively manage and respond to cybersecurity incidents.

The second project is a hands-on training initiative designed to educate and prepare cybersecurity specialists. By providing practical learning opportunities, the project aims to equip professionals with the necessary skills to tackle evolving cybersecurity threats.

Both projects have been funded by Google.org, underscoring their importance and potential impact on the cybersecurity landscape.
